A collection of computer software and hardware projects I've made over the years.
My capstone project(s) that I worked on with three other engineering students. We developed an SD card file system and a native text editor for the "C3 board", a custom single board computer built in collaboration between my university and Eleven Engineering Inc, featuring a custom "XinC2" RISC-V-based CPU.
A program I wrote for a friend who streams on Twitch. Takes in game information for the week and produces a complete schedule infographic.
A proof-of-concept of a dialogue system for RPGs I came up with, written in Rust.
A quick program I wrote over the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic to track COVID cases in real time.
My entry to my first-year engineering computer programming classes' programming contest, which took 1st place. Written in MATLAB, it features prey, predators, limited resources, reproduction and a genetics system.
A school project I did in my senior-year physics class as part of our "electricity & magnetism" unit. Everyone else did a homemade speaker and I thought that was lame, so I got permission to build THIS instead.
My name is Zach, and I go by @zgell online. I am a computer engineer who has a wide range of interests. I specialize in integrated circuit design, but also do plenty of work with software and electronics. I'm also interested in a bunch of other topics, like rocketry and space technology, cybersecurity, mathematics, hiking, cooking, and so on. This website acts as a repository of information for a variety of software and hardware engineering projects I have worked on over the years. I hope you find my work interesting!
